SALT LAKE CITY AN OLYMPIC VENUE

What is the first requisite for skiers? Snow, of course, and then more snow, followed by more snow!!! And the second requisite? A hill or better still a mountain! Skiers just love snow on a mountain!!! Consider then, an area where, yearly, between 360 and 500 inches of snow blankets 9 mountains within an hour's ride of Salt lake. These are not baby mountains or hills, but rather world renowned mountains of steeps and deeps and easiest and fun. This is Salt lake, a city offering not only skiing for everyone from expert to beginner, but also culture, charm and history at an affordable price. Ski any of the BIG FOUR - Alta - Snowbird - Brighton or Solitude for $49.00 per day on the 2008 Ski Salt lake Super Pass, and even less for children under 12. Or, if you want to do it all in Utah, then venture out to the THREESOME off 1-80, The Canyons, Park City or the classy and fashionable Deer Valley; to the north, within the hour lies Snowbasin and Powder Mountain and to the south, Robert Redford's Sundance. Every area offers skiers a choice of fun, skiing the corduroy, the packed, the moguls or the vast expanse of an open bowl. All ages and all abilities will find an outlet for their ski passion.

Our hotel, the Crystal Inn Midvalley, is located halfway between downtown SlC and the Big Four, a short 20 minute drive. It is 30 minutes from the Threesome off 1-80 and at a location of just where you want to be. A homey hotel of a home away from home with TV - fridge microwave - dryer - lounging space - and hot tub and guest laundromat. Your abundant breakfast buffet is an energizer for skiing all day, while the evening social of a light dinner is an opportunity for relaxing and chatting of the day's steeps, deeps and spills. Relax in the Hot Tub! Or if you must - but really if you should not on be vacation - stay connected at the Internet cafe.

For comfort, location, price, fun, and skiing, Salt lake is the place to be. Come for as long as you like - be it days or weeks - and then return home refreshed with ski memories and just about "having it all." Even families can enjoy Salt lake as kids 17 and under stay free in the same room as parents. Salt lake's claim to have the "Greatest Snow on Earth" is winter's place to be.
